THREN FAMILY PRAYER LETTER- MARK THREN FAMILY

Dear Friends of the Threns,

We have had the pleasure to be in over 20 different churches and involved in 3 camp meetings these past few months. As a special blessing, we were able to teach in 2 family conferences in Maine; teaching on the home is a subject very close to my heart, and it was wonderful to be allowed to be a part of these meetings.

RV Update In our last letter, I had asked that you please pray about our RV situation, as it was so hard on Rachel to drive the rig all the time. Well, we would ask for prayers concerning a new dynamic of that same request. In late August, we backed into a large cement block at a gas pump with the RV. The rear end was pretty torn up and, worse than that, there was damage done to the wiring of the motorhome, and almost all the lights no longer work. Our insurance company is giving a us a bit of a run-around with this, and they have not yet decided if they wish to total the RV or repair it. While we are waiting, a friend has graciously allowed us to borrow another RV, and for that we are very thankful! Please pray that God would provide a permanent solution for us to travel in.

New CD Our newest album, entitled Raise the Standard is now available! Thank you to all of you who had the faith in us to pre-order the CD. 😊 We will begin shipping the pre-orders in about a week, and they will also be available for purchase on our music website (see right for details). We hope and pray that it will be a blessing to all of you.

School Our kids have started up school again. Homeschooling on the road can be even more challenging than what we were used to while I was a pastor, so please pray for Rachel and Sara, as they teach, and the kids, as they adapt to doing school on the road. Along with schoolwork come music lessons, and we are happy that most of the older ones will be able to take online lessons for a time.

Flooding While in VA, at a church camp, we experienced some heavy rainfall, due to hurricane Florence. When the camp had ended, we prepared to make our next trip to DE, and it was still raining very heavily. As we started out of the woods to the main road, our path was blocked by an electrical truck, sent out to repair the wires in the rain! We were able to pass eventually, but, on our way out to the highway, several roads were impassible. We turned around a few times before safely reaching the highway.

In closing, we want to thank everyone who prays for us and our ministry! Every missionary uses this line, but it really is true… Without your prayers, we really would not be able to do what we do! Thank you! Thank you as well, to those of you who support us financially!
